Most of us have a preference when it comes to which interior theme we prefer and which one our home leans towards. However it can be hard to know where to start with decorating and designing, and can become a bit stressful! All parts of your interior need to work in harmony with each other to get the look right, and a good place to start is flooring.

Contemporary

It goes without saying that a contemporary interior is very popular at the moment, with clean lines and spaces, so many of us love this trend. When it comes to flooring, we would opt for something as minimalistic as possible, to really keep in line with the neutral look. With this being said, a cream laminate would work well or glass coated tiles for that gorgeous shiny look, nice and fresh! Even a grey luxury vinyl tile would work well, with grey being the top of the flooring trend at the moment! If you don’t want things to look too clean and cold, then a grey solid or engineered wood floor would work wonders in your home too.

Classical

Your options are a little more limited with a classical interior, but by no means too restricting or can only settle on one type! So the best place to start is certainly wood flooring, especially solid. Oak is always a popular one, but if you’re wanting to really embrace the classical look then a walnut wood is the best route to go down.

Rustic

Rustic is certainly a very popular trend at the moment and we can’ see it going anywhere any time soon. When it comes to flooring, again wood is idea but one with lots of grains, knots and colour variation to really grasp that naturalistic look.
